The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to your community.
SASSA will be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency reported it's alarmed with regard to the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial sassa amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The support point established for intervention ordeals a high inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to allow the servicing of all customers and enhance entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
